| Having been a Carpenter for many years, old habits are difficult to break. This DeWalt cordless is without doubt the best investment I\'ve made in years. Puts my old Ryobi to shame and has consigned my Yankee pump screwdriver to the toolbox for ever. This decision took me over a month to make and I talked to many other tradesmen...the Li-Ion is definately the way to go if you can afford it. Dewalt from hear on! |

| An excellent drill, you have to buy one!!.......After a good few years of service from my \"basic\" DeWalt I decided to upgrade to this little beauty. A few of our internal walls are solid stone and have always needed a mains driven percussion hammer.. until now!!!! On hammer setting (with DeWalt drill bits, which are also excellent), I was able to drill through solid stone like it was brick.
I also needed a high torque setting as putting in outdoor bolts for fencing, did most on the slowest, but it can also deliver huge torque on medium, although be aware of the power, it could break your wrist if caught unaware.
It is SO worth spending the money on a drill like this if you use regularly and also very impressed with the service from my-tool-shed.
Don\'t even question whether you should go for a cheaper one, you get what you buy. |

| My 9 year old XRP was stolen by the thieving Ba****ds along with my van. Bought the latest technology to give it a go and not disappointed. This drill (or the old one anyway) will out live any of the other cheap rubbish out there. My job gives my tools a lot of heavy work and the old drill never missed a beat apart from new batteries as you\'d expect. So far this drill is living up to my expectations. |

| The DeWalt DCD925L2 XRP Cordless Nano Combi Drill 18 Volt,USING LITHIUM BATTERIES, is a little expensive,but appears to be quite a good piece of equipment.a little smaller than my previous Ryobi,nicely ballenced and due to the lithium batteries is quite powerful. it\'s sensitivity at the trigger is appreciated.looking forward to getting a lot of use from it. have just worn out three ryobi 3 speed 18 volt Li drills due to ? faulty gearbox\'s, de walts gear box selector appears to be more substantial.only time will tell. |

| Having used Makitta for 26 years I felt a bit sad to be jumping ship and going over to the other side. Im not sad now. great piece of kit, a very powerfull all in one drill with the best chuck I have ever used. fitted a gutter the other day, drill facia board, m10 masonry hole in stone, screw home fixing screw then screw on bracket all up a ladder with no fuss.
the 40 min charge time is longer than the 20 min on my makitta, but the drill runs a lot longer so not a problem.
Not a lightweight screw driver that can drill a bit but a real drill that can drive screws. best way round I think. |
