The Makita BSS610RFE is a powerful 18volt LXT circular saw with a 165mm diameter blade. Smooth and accurate cutting is aided by high comfort rubberised grips and a built in LED job light that creates an easy to trace cutting line. Additional safety features include a double safety trigger and a large lock off lever, while a removable dust nozzle and built in blow-off nozzle ensures that your work is clear of dust and chippings.

The 18v LXT Lithium-Ion batteries offer consistent power while weighing the same as a 12volt Ni-MH battery, up to 40% lighter than other 18v batteries. Lithium-Ion batteries also have a far greater run time than Ni-MH or Ni-Cad batteries, giving 430% greater run time, allowing you to work harder for longer. The batteries also have a very low self-discharge rate, meaning that you can use the circular saw at any time, straight from storage.

The charger and battery communicate throughout the charging process through the use of inbuilt chips in the batteries. The charger can monitor the voltage being fed to the battery to prevent overcharging and prolonging the life of the battery. An audio warning signal will tell you exactly when the battery has finished charging.
